How do I book a service?+
Choose the service on the stylist's profile, pick an available time slot, confirm your details and pay online. Confirmation arrives by email within seconds.
How do I cancel or change my booking?+
Go to "My bookings". Each stylist sets their own cancellation policy (flexible, standard or strict). A cancellation within the free window (24-72h depending on the policy) incurs no fee.
How do I book an at-home service?+
Filter by "Travels to your home" in the stylist list. The travel radius is shown on each profile. The price includes travel, unless otherwise stated in the service notes.
The slot I want isn't available, what can I do?+
Three options: (1) use the filters to find another available stylist; (2) add the profile to your favorites to be alerted when a slot frees up; (3) contact the pro directly via the "Message" button on their profile.
How is Miapoda different from other platforms?+
100% afro hair specialization: our stylists are trained specifically for kinky, curly, coily and mixed textures. Every profile is verified. Unique filters (hair type, at-home, certifications) found nowhere else.
Which cities is Miapoda available in?+

Who is Miapoda?+
Miapoda is a global marketplace dedicated to afro and textured hair. We connect clients looking for specialized expertise with verified stylists across Europe, North America, Africa and beyond.
Which payment methods are accepted?+
Bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay. Payments are secured by Stripe. No banking data is stored by Miapoda.
How do I get an invoice or receipt?+
A PDF receipt is sent automatically by email after each payment. You can also find it in "My bookings". For a named invoice, contact us via the contact form.
What is Miapoda's commission?+
Miapoda takes 10% of each booking. This commission covers the matchmaking, secure payments, hosting, support and client acquisition. The stylist receives 90% of the billed price.
How does a refund work?+
In case of cancellation within the free window or an issue with the service, the refund is processed within 3 to 7 business days directly to your original payment method.
How do I become a stylist on Miapoda?+
Create your account on "Become a stylist", complete your profile (bio, portfolio photos, services, availability), connect Stripe Connect to receive payments, and publish. Approval takes 1-2 business days.
How are you "verified"?+
The Miapoda team reviews every pro profile before publication: portfolio authenticity, photo quality, consistency of the bio and services. Declared certifications may be cross-checked.
How do I manage my schedule?+
The pro dashboard lets you set your weekly time slots, add exceptions (holidays, modified days), and manually block slots. Bookings appear in real time.
When do I receive my payouts?+
Payments are paid out automatically by Stripe to your IBAN within 2 to 7 business days depending on your country. You can also trigger an instant payout (1.5% fee) from your wallet.
